These terms govern your use of DateScamCheck.com (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service is

DateScamCheck is a free, advertising-supported tool that performs a reverse image search on a photo you provide and presents a simple, automated summary of where that image appears online. Its purpose is to help people spot dating profiles that use stolen photos.

2. The Service is informational only

The Service is an awareness aid, not an investigation, background check, or verification service. The results — including the "Likely Real", "Suspicious", and "Likely Fake" verdicts — are automated estimates based on publicly available search data. They are not proof that any person is, or is not, a scammer.

• A result of "no matches found" does not guarantee a profile is genuine.
• A result showing matches does not by itself prove fraud — for example, public figures legitimately appear in many places.
• Nothing on this site is legal, financial, investigative, or relationship advice.

You are responsible for your own decisions. Always combine any result with common sense, the warning signs described on this site, and, where appropriate, professional advice.

3. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, error-free, or available at any particular time. Search results are supplied by third-party providers and may be incomplete or out of date.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DateScamCheck and its operators will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or other damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including any decision you make, or money you lose or do not recover, in connection with a dating or romance interaction. Your use of the Service is entirely at your own risk.

5. Acceptable use

You agree to use the Service lawfully and responsibly. You must not:

• Use the Service to harass, stalk, intimidate, defame, or harm any person.
• Use it to make accusations against, or "out", any individual.
• Attempt to overload, disrupt, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service or its underlying infrastructure.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law or the rights of others.

Check only photos you have a genuine, personal safety reason to check. Treat any result as private information, not as something to publish about another person.

6. Third-party services and links

The Service relies on and links to third parties, including SerpApi (search results), Google AdSense (advertising), Google Lens and Google Images (manual searches), and Netlify (hosting). We do not control these services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and policies.

7. Advertising

The Service is funded by advertising. By using the Service you acknowledge that ads will be displayed. Ad-related cookies are only used in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the choice you make on the cookie banner.

8. Intellectual property

The DateScamCheck name, design, text, and code are the property of their owner and may not be copied or reused without permission. Photos you submit remain the property of their respective owners; you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to submit them for a search.

9. Changes to the Service and these terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time. We may also update these terms; when we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions stay in effect.
